Tapping Into Incredible Power….

Chrisitan Perspectives 1 Comment »

Romans 8:26-27 (KJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The Holy Spirit indwells believers at salvation, which means His power is available from that moment (Eph. 1:13).

God created a simple way for us to access that strength every single day.

First, we must accept the truth that within ourselves, we are powerless to live out God’s will. No matter how capable we may be, our own strength and wisdom are insufficient.

Sometimes Christians get proud over the good they have done or the number of years they’ve been saved. Imagine how much more we could serve the Lord if we would humbly get out of God’s way and let Him work through us.

Second, we surrender our entire life to the guidance and governing of the Holy Spirit. In other words, we choose to conduct our spiritual walk—as well as our vocation, finances, family, and relationships—as God desires.

His Spirit is not going to release supernatural power into a life that is continuing in rebellion.

Third, we exercise faith, which means demonstrating belief and trust in the Lord. Faith is the “switch” that releases the Spirit’s power. It’s like saying, “I believe You’ve got a plan, God, so I’m going to trust You to give me what I need in order to do Your will.” Then He will move heaven and earth to provide for your need, whatever it may be.

Merely memorizing and reviewing the steps isn’t enough.

Instead, commit to these principles as a way of life. Get used to thinking, I can’t but God can— I’ll submit to His will because His plans are for my good and His glory.

That’s the kind of life that surges with the Holy Spirit’s power.

Planning For Your Next Victory…

Joshua 14:12, (KJV)

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

In the Bible, Caleb helped lead the people of Israel into their Promised Land.

But scripture tells us that Caleb didn’t just stop there. In fact, when he was 80 years old he said, “God, give me another mountain.” He was saying, “God give me something else to do. Give me another assignment.”

Notice, he was planning on living out his life in victory. He could have said, “God, just let me retire. Man, my back’s hurting. I can hardly see anymore. Medicare wouldn’t pay that latest prescription. I’m so aggravated.” No, he was strong.

He was energetic; he was ready for the next challenge.

Friend, no matter how old or how young you are, God has another assignment for you. You wouldn’t be here if God didn’t have a purpose for you.

This year is going to be your best ever. Why don’t you make plans for another victory

Make plans to increase in influence, abundance and favor. Choose today to live full of joy, peace, strength and health and take a step of faith into the life of blessing He has in store for you!

Father in heaven, thank You for creating me and giving my life purpose.
Help me discover the gifts and talents You’ve placed within me so that I can use them for Your glory.
Thank You for another victory on this day.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

His Grace Is What Empowers You…

Romans 5:20 (KJV)

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

So many people today live in guilt and condemnation over their past mistakes and wrongdoings.

They have this attitude that they are too far gone or they’ve made too many mistakes. They think that if they walk into church, the roof will cave in.

Friend, if that’s you, nothing could be further from the truth!

It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, it doesn’t matter where you’ve been; God’s grace is enough. Scripture says that we are saved “by faith through grace.” Grace is His unmerited favor upon you. You can’t earn it no matter how “good” you act, but He’s offering it to you as a free gift.

His grace is what empowers you to change and live the life He’s called you to.

Today, don’t live another minute in regret, condemnation, heaviness or despair. Receive His grace. It’s as easy as opening your heart and inviting Him to change your life. Remember, there’s nothing you could ever do that His grace can’t bring you through.

So open your heart to Him and receive it today!

Father God, thank You for Your grace upon my life.
Thank You for receiving me no matter what I’ve done.
I receive Your love and forgiveness.
I commit myself to You today and all the days of my life.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Dare To Have Big Dreams For Your Life…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Dare To Have Big Dreams For Your Life…

1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him

What are the dreams and desires that you have for your future?

Maybe you had some big dreams in the past, but things didn’t go the way you planned. So you put them aside and settled for status quo. We’ve all had disappointments and setbacks, but today is a new day, and we serve a God who makes all things new!

Let me challenge you to dig deep and dare to have a big dream for your life.

I always say, when one dream dies, dream another dream.

Don’t just settle for mediocrity, we serve a God who is above and beyond anything we can think of, and He wants to manifest His greatness through you. Remember, there’s nothing you can dream that God can’t do.

Why not ask Him to bring you the right people, the right opportunities, and the right resources?

Trust that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Dare to believe and dare to dream another dream because He desires to do big things in and through you in this season of your life!

Father in heaven, thank You for a new day to praise Your name.
I dedicate myself to You fresh and anew.
Lead me in the ways of my heart; help me to find that new dream, and let everything I do bring glory to You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The False Solutions Of This World…

Chrisitan Perspectives 1 Comment »

Romans 12:2  (KJV)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Most people have things in their lives that they want to change — old habits, addictions or something they want to overcome.

The world offers so many “solutions” to improve your life; but really, the only way we are truly changed, the only way to be permanently transformed is by renewing your mind with the Word of God.

The scripture tells us that we shouldn’t follow the pattern of the world.

What is the pattern of the world? It’s the constant striving to do more, be more and have more that only leads to weariness, emptiness and frustration.

That’s not what God intends!

Instead, focus your thoughts on the Word of God because when you make the Word your number one focus, something supernatural takes place.

Only you can control the doorway to your mind.

Nobody can do this for you. You choose what you meditate on and what you set before your eyes.

I encourage you to stay on the offensive and diligently guard your mind and heart because when you do things God’s way, you get God’s results — life, peace and joy!

Father God, today I submit myself to You and to Your Word.
I invite You to transform me into Your image.
Help me to make wise choices and keep me close to You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Making All Things New…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Making All Things New…

Revelation 21:5 (KJV)

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside of you, He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream.

He wouldn’t give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability to fulfill it.

In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works with us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed. But let me tell you today, no matter where you’ve come from, no matter what’s happened in your past, God wants to make you new.

He wants to give you a fresh start.

If you feel like you’ve missed opportunities in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a new day.

You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for you. Lift up your eyes of faith and look forward to the new thing God has for you in this season!

Father in heaven, thank You for making all things new.
I give You this day and invite You to have Your way in every area of my life.
I choose to receive all the promises You have in store for me and look for Your goodness in all things.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Faith, The Path To Victory…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Faith, The Path To Victory…

Romans 4:19–21 (KJV)

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Abraham is known as our father in the faith, but he had many obstacles coming against the promise of God in his life.

You see, God told him that he would be “the father of many nations,” but Abraham was over 90 years old before he ever saw that promise begin to come to pass.

How many people today would look in the mirror and say, “No way; it’s just not happening.”

But today’s scripture tells us that he didn’t consider his body. He didn’t meditate on all the reasons he couldn’t be the father of many nations. Instead, he considered the strength and ability of his God!

He knew God could make a way even when there seemed to be no way.

Abraham knew he served a faithful God, and so he gave all the praise and glory to Him! Scripture says his faith strengthened him and opened the door for God to move mightily on his behalf.

Today, what are you believing God for? Does it seem impossible?

Has it taken a long time?

Consider your God. Consider His Word. Consider His faithfulness.

Just like Abraham, let His Word strengthen you as you give glory to God. Keep believing and keep hoping and let your faith open the way for victory in every area of your life!

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and strength at work in my life today.
I choose to consider Your ability over my circumstance.
I choose to trust You and receive Your strength.
I give You praise, honor and glory now and forevermore.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Breaking The Chains That Limit Opportunity…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Breaking The Chains That Limit Opportunity…

Colossians 4:3 (KJV)

Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

When Paul wrote this verse, he was in chains in prison. He had been arrested for preaching the gospel. Everything in his surroundings shouted
“limitations,” but instead of looking at his surroundings, Paul kept his eyes on the limitless God.

He kept looking for the open door of opportunity that God would have for him next.

No matter what “chains” you may feel like you are in today, remember, we serve a God who’s in the business of setting people free. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He fills you with His power.

He promises to walk with you all the days of your life.

When doors look closed all around you, when your surroundings look limited, when you feel like you’re in chains, remember, God is still at work in your life. Like Paul, keep your hopes up.

Keep expecting. Keep believing.

Pray for those opportunities to be opened to you. If you fall, get back up and press forward with even greater determination to accomplish the dream that God has planted in your heart.

The prayer of the righteous avails much, so keep praying because He promises to break the chains and open doors of opportunity in your life!

Father in heaven, I choose to take my eyes off my surroundings and focus on You.
I choose to focus on the passion and dream You’ve planted in my heart.
I trust that You are working behind the scenes, opening doors of opportunity.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
