Called Into The Deep Waters…

Psalm 107:24 (KJV)

These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep

The scripture says is Psalm 107:23, “They that go down to the sea and do business in deep waters, they will see the wonders of God.”

Friend, you and I were created to do business in deep waters. In other words, we’re not supposed to have little dreams or little plans. We are supposed to have big dreams.

We are supposed to go out into the deep things God has for us. But understand, when you’re out there in the deep waters, you can’t touch the ground. You can’t see the shoreline, and at times, it can get a little rocky. You may not always see how things are going to work out. But, the scripture tells us that deep calls to deep.

In other words, God is the one who has called you to the deep waters.

He is with you, and He knows there are deep things on the inside of you. When you are in those deep waters, you are not alone.

God is with you, and He’s causing those deep things inside of you to come forth.

If you feel like you are out in the deep today, if you feel like you are overwhelmed, remember, you are in the right place and God is with you.

You will see His wonderful deeds in the deep, and you will fulfill the destiny He has in store for you.

Father in heaven, I surrender every area of my life to You.
I hunger for every single thing You have in store for me.
I choose to trust You out in the deep waters knowing that You have good things in store for me.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Are You Blocking God’s Gifts?

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Are You Blocking God’s Gifts?

Psalm 119:96 (KJV)

I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

Did you know you can limit your life by dwelling on the wrong things?

So often, wrong thinking keeps people stuck right where they are. If you think you’ll never accomplish your dreams, those thoughts will hold you back. If you think you don’t have the talent, the connections or the funds, then you are limiting yourself.

You are blocking what God can do in your life.

It’s time to take the limits off and trust God. He isn’t limited to this earthly realm; His ways are higher than our ways. We serve a supernatural God. Just because you don’t see a way doesn’t mean that God doesn’t have a way.

God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to a whole new level. He has explosive blessings in store that can blast you out of where you are and into a place of abundance. If you’ll shift your focus from this earthly realm and start looking with your eyes of faith, you’ll see His unlimited possibilities for your future.

Take the limits off by setting your thoughts on what God Almighty can do in your life!

Father in heaven, today I lift my eyes to You.
You alone are the source of my strength, peace and provision.
I choose to delight myself in You knowing that You will give me the desires of my heart.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Allowing God-Given Dreams To Surface…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Allowing God-Given Dreams To Surface…

Proverbs 16:9 (KJV)

A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.

Oftentimes as children, we have dreams for the future, dreams of being ball players and actresses, super heroes and firemen.

But most of the time, they end up just being wishful thinking. As we get older, we grow out of them. It’s good to play and have dreams as children, but when we grow up, we have to know the difference between a God-given dream and a wish.

I remember when I was a little boy, I dreamed of playing basketball for the New York Knicks. That was definitely a fantasy!

Beyond our wishes though, we all have dreams placed inside of us by the Creator of the universe. In fact, the Latin word for “desire” means “from the Father.” One way to tell if a dream is really from God is that the desire won’t go away. You may have had it for years, but you still can’t let it go.

In fact, you may have tried to let it go, but it won’t let go of you.

Today, I encourage you to search your heart and allow those God-given dreams to surface.

He placed those desires inside of you for a purpose, and He’s going to use them to direct you into the destiny He has in store for you!

Father in heaven, thank You for the dreams and desires You’ve placed within me.
I submit those dreams to You and ask that You direct my steps.
Search my heart and make my thoughts agreeable to Your Word and to Your plan for me.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Discover Real Freedom…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Discover Real Freedom…

Acts 10:34–35, (KJV)

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom — and God’s freedom is free for everyone!

It doesn’t matter what your nationality or heritage is, or who your family is. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or don’t have. God wants you free from everything that would hold you back from having a personal relationship with Him.

God longs to pour out His goodness and blessing on all who honor Him and do what is right.

In fact, the Bible says in Galatians that in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek or even male or female. That means God’s not judging you based on physical conditions. He’s looking at your heart. He’s looking at the gifts He’s placed inside of you. He’s responding to your faith in Him.

Don’t let the enemy lie to you and tell you that God is blessing everyone else but you.

Look for the ways He is pouring out blessing in your life. Thank Him for His acceptance, love and freedom. Focus on honoring Him and doing what is right, and you’ll find freedom and blessing in Him.

Father in heaven, thank You for loving and accepting me.
I choose to do what is right and honor You with my attitude, words and actions.
Holy Spirit, show me if there is anything in my life that isn’t pleasing to You and help me live as an example of Your goodness all the days of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Make The Choice To Look Forward…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Make The Choice To Look Forward…

This One Thing

Philippians 3:13 (KJV)

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before

Are you determined to forget the past?

I know many people don’t fully understand what that means. They wonder, “How can I forget something that’s happened to me?” But one definition of the word forget is to disregard intentionally or to overlook. In other words, you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t hold you back.

That means the good and the bad. Sometimes our past victories keep us from rising higher as much as our past failures can. If we don’t let go of the old, we’ll never be able to embrace the new.

It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your past, it’s time to forget what lies behind and make the choice to look forward.

Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf.

Trust that He who promised is faithful — as you forget what lies behind and press forward, you’ll experience His power and blessing in a fresh, new way.

Father in heaven, I choose to forget the past today.
I don’t want anything to hold me back from the good future You have prepared for me.
I choose forgiveness and ask that You help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward in every area of my life.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Valuable In His Eyes….

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Valuable In His Eyes….

Esteem One Another

Ephesians 5:2  (KJV)

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

In today’s culture, we don’t often hear the word esteem used very much, yet, scripture tells us to esteem and delight in one another.

One definition of esteem is to hold in high regard. That means we are to honor and value one another. Even if we don’t always agree with one another, even if they don’t necessarily act honorably, we are to honor and esteem others because they are valuable in the eyes of God.

Think of it this way: if you had a costly and valuable piece of jewelry, you wouldn’t just wear it to the gym or leave it on the kitchen sink. No, you would treat it carefully. You would put it in a safe place and protect it.

Well, when we see others as valuable the way God sees them, we will treat them carefully as well. We should be careful in the way we talk to others. We should look for the good in them and honor them for who God made them to be.

The Bible tells us that the way we treat others is like sowing seed, and it will come back to you.

Choose to esteem and delight in one another. Sow good seeds, and you will see a harvest of blessing in your own life in return!

Heavenly Father, today I choose love.
I choose to honor the people around me.
Help me to see the value in others the way You see the value in me.
Help me to esteem and delight in others with my actions and words so that I can be an example of Your love and light.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pleasing The Savior…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Pleasing The Savior…

Hebrews 11:6  (KJV)

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him”

Do you know what pleases God?

He’s not impressed by how much knowledge we have. He isn’t influenced by how many possessions we have. He’s not moved by our accomplishments, He is moved simply by our faith in Him.

What’s interesting is that faith is a gift.

It’s not something we have to contrive or work up. The scripture tells us that everyone has been given a measure of faith and that faith grows as we hear the Word of God. That’s why it’s so important to stay connected to a Bible-based church where you can hear the Word of God taught.

That’s why we have to make time every day to read and study His Word because you’re feeding your faith. The more you feed your faith, the more you know Him and understand His goodness.

Today, take time to feed your faith. Meditate on His Word and ask Him to illuminate your heart with His truth.

Trust that He is good and has good things in store for your future because that is faith that pleases God.

Father in heaven, thank You for giving me faith so that I can be pleasing to You.
Fill my heart and mind with Your truth.
Transform me into Your image and let everything I do bring glory to You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Believe Before You Ever See…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Believe Before You Ever See…

Hebrews 11:3 (KJV)

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

You were created by Almighty God to live a blessed and fulfilled life.

But so many people live far below the level of what God truly intends for them simply because they don’t see how it could happen. But the truth is you have to believe before you’re ever going to see something take place in the natural world.

You have to look with your eyes of faith because the provision, healing and miracle that you need is already available in the supernatural realm.

You might say, “Well, I don’t know how to do that. I don’t know how to look with my eyes of faith.” The way you open your eyes of faith is by reading and meditating on the Word of God. His Word deposits strength and faith inside you and illuminates your heart. His Word causes your faith to grow so you can believe His promises. And when you believe it, then you will see it because all things are possible for those who believe!

Today, feed your faith by meditating on His Word. Declare His promises over your life.

Keep moving forward with an attitude of faith and expectancy knowing that He has victory in store for your future!

Father God, thank You for Your sweet and precious promises. I choose to open the eyes of my heart so that I can see and receive the good things You have for me. Help me to be a blessing to others and keep my mind stayed on You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
