All Things Are Possible…

Matthew 19:26, (KJV)

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

I had a gentleman tell me not long ago that his business was very, very slow.

It looked like he would go under. He owned a small manufacturing company with one main competitor in town, a national company that was bigger with more resources. With the economy down, it made it harder and harder for him to stay open.

This man was flexible about what he should do next, but he really believed he was in the business God wanted him to be in. So, he kept praying, believing and hoping; and instead of considering his circumstances, he considered his God. And just when he thought he was going to have to close down, his main competitor had a change in leadership and direction and decided to pull out of this market.

Now he’s breaking all kinds of records.

Friend, today I want to encourage you. If there’s something coming against you, consider your God.

He has a way to meet every one of your needs. You may not be able to beat the competition in the natural, but God can simply remove the competition. He wants to give you His favor. He wants to give you the advantage for success.

Trust Him and believe because with God, all things are possible.

Father God, today I put my trust in You.
I know that You are faithful and have good things in store for my future.
Thank You for giving me patience to stand and see Your promises come to pass in every area of my life!
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Trusting A God With No Face…

Chrisitan Perspectives 2 Comments »

Acts 4:13

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

I WANT a God with a face on.” said a little girl to her minister one day after a church service– thereby expressing a childlike, nevertheless profound, desire for reality in religion.

She was not satisfied with some nebulous, ethereal abstraction of God.

She, like many of us wanted something definite, tangible. She wanted a someone for a God… not a something

Perhaps that is why people do not take God more seriously. They hold a theory about God.

They’re notion of God is foggy… hazy… remote — an idea that is beyond them with no connection with the everyday.

Many people want a God with a face on!

“Who exactly is the God you worship?”

This is a question that seems to come up again and again…  usually when asked, people stop for a second or two…  and ponder the thought.

“Tell me about Him?”

“What is He like?”

“Where does He dwell?”

Is He real to YOU?”

Again and again, people stop after a few confused mutterings and admit… God is quite unreal. When pinned down they have little to say. Why should a person bother with God if that is all He means to them?

But… Consider Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is God in focus! In him we see God clearly, distinctly, sharply, down to earth!

If you want to know what God is like… look at His Son. If you want to hear God, listen to His Son.

A human being can make no mistake following Christ!

Let a person begin with Jesus whenever they want to be honest with themselves, let them investigate Jesus all the way. Let them go along with Jesus as far as truth dictates– as far as honest inquiry leads…

If you do this, you will begin to realize that Jesus Christ is God in focus…

You simply can’t go wrong trusting Christ… following Christ… loving Christ… worshiping Christ.

Jesus Christ will lead you to a personal, dynamic experience of who God is…

Give Him a try and bring God’s face into focus.
