Standing Firm In Faith…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Standing Firm In Faith…

James 1:6, (KJV)

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”

Are you believing that God will do something specific in your life today?

Oftentimes, when we are standing in faith, the storms of life will blow. Things will come against us that try to knock our faith down. But, I to encourage you to stand strong in your faith and in your thinking so that you can be effective and see your dreams and desires come to pass.

Scripture tells us that if we go back and forth on what we believe, we are unstable and ineffective.

Instead, we have to be fully persuaded that the Word of God is true no matter what we see. The way you stand firm in your faith is by staying focused on God instead of your circumstances.

Sing praises to Him throughout the day and guard the words that come out of your mouth. When you stand firm in your faith, you have peace. You have a supernatural rest because you know God is in complete control. You trust Him completely. Today, stand firm in your faith, watch your words, and know that He is leading you into victory in every area of your life!

Father God, today I praise You and honor You because You are God.
I put my faith and trust in You knowing that You are working behind the scenes in my life.
Thank You for making a way when there seems to be no way and opening doors of victory in my life.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Plan For Abundance…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on A Plan For Abundance…

Psalm 66:12, (KJV)

“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place”

Friend, no matter what your circumstances may look like today, God’s plan is to bring you through to a place of abundance.

He wants you to have an abundance of peace, an abundance of joy, an abundance of resources — He wants you to overflow with His blessings so that you can be a blessing to the people around you.

One thing I’ve learned is that if you want to live in the overflow of God’s blessings, you have to have an attitude to receive the overflow.

Remember, as a believer in Jesus, you are a child of the Most High God. Royal blood is flowing through your veins. You were not created to be average. You were not created to barely get by and drag through life. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. You are well able to do whatever God has called you to do!

Today, I encourage you to put your shoulders back, hold your head up high and start thinking like a victor. And when you’re a victor, you know that any adversity in your life is not permanent, it’s temporary. Have the attitude to receive the overflow of God’s abundance. Keep believing and keep expecting because it’s just a matter of time until He turns things around in your favor!

Heavenly Father, today I open my mind and heart to You.
I choose to believe that You have a good plan for me.
By faith today, I receive the blessings You have for me so that I can be a blessing to others.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Master Of Comfort…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on The Master Of Comfort…

Isaiah 66:13, (KJV)

“As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem….”

Oftentimes, when people face challenges, they seek comfort in things that are familiar.

It may be work, an activity, or a relationship; and of course, we all know about “comfort food.” But those things only bring temporary comfort. True comfort is found in a personal relationship with God in heaven through His Son, Jesus.

According to Webster’s dictionary, comfort means to give strength and hope; to ease grief or trouble. No matter what difficulty you may be facing today, God wants to bring you comfort. Like a mother cares for her child, He longs to give you strength, hope and confidence.

Today, make the decision to put Him first in every area of your life.

Let go of those things you know are holding you back. Let Him bring you comfort by allowing Him to be Lord over all the areas of your heart. As you surrender to His grace, you will be filled with His peace and joy.

You’ll receive His comfort and be empowered to overcome in every area of your life!

Father in heaven, I come to You today and invite You to fill my whole being.
Give me Your comfort and strength and empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live in the victory You have planned for me.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Authority Of The Message…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on The Authority Of The Message…

1 Kings 17:1

And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

King Ahab’s first thought after encountering the prophet Elijah may well have been, Of all the nerve! Just who does this guy think he is?

Bursting onto the scene out of nowhere, Elijah confronted Israel’s wicked king with a message that would soon disrupt life throughout the entire region.
The validity of the revelation rested with the Source, not the mouthpiece. Elijah was a man of great faith who believed what God told him; he could boldly speak with authority because he knew and trusted the One who gave the message. He spent time alone with the Lord and listened as he stood before Him.

Our Father doesn’t speak to us in exactly the same manner that He spoke to the Old Testament prophets, but the process of receiving His message hasn’t changed. It begins with being alone in His presence and involves listening as He speaks through His Word. But it shouldn’t end there.

Prophets had the responsibility of telling the people what the Lord revealed to them. Similarly, we are to share with others what we learn from God’s Word. Devotional time with the Lord is not just about our own interests and needs. The Father reveals His treasures to us so that we can share them with others.

Begin each day alone with God in His Word and in prayer, listening as He speaks to your heart. Believe what He says in Scripture, apply it to your life, and then share with someone else what He has revealed.

Be bold and remember that the authority of your message comes from Him.

Equipped To Walk In The New…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Equipped To Walk In The New…

2 Corinthians 5:17, (KJV)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Everyone loves to get something new. But as a believer in Jesus, you’re not only getting something new, you are something new.

You are a brand new creation! Your eternal being, your spirit, is re-created in Christ. The old is gone, the new has come! You may not necessarily feel new right away. That’s because the Bible tells us that we are to “work out” our salvation. That means you have to retrain your body and mind to act, think, speak and live according to God’s ways instead of the old habits you used to have.

Don’t ever get stuck in the rut of thinking, “I’ll never change…that’s just the way I am.” No, the Bible says that the Spirit of God aids us in our weakness.

He gives us strength to overcome. He empowers us to live as more than conquerors in this life.

Is there something you want to change in your life today? If you’ve received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then start declaring, “I am a new creation in Christ! I am empowered to overcome!

I am equipped to walk in the new, abundant life the Lord has in store for me!”

Father in heaven, thank You for making me a new creation.
Thank You for empowering me to live as an overcomer.
I give this day to You and ask that You help me to fully understand the plan You have for me.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Sow Seeds By Speaking Blessings…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on Sow Seeds By Speaking Blessings…

Proverbs 18:21, (KJV)

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”

Have you thought about the people in your life who need your blessing?

They need your approval. They need to hear you say, “I’m proud of you. You’re going to do great things.” That’s speaking the blessing. That’s releasing favor into their future.

When you say to the people you love, “I’m so glad you’re in my life. You mean the world to me,” you just gave them the blessing. When you tell one of your employees, coworkers or a student, “You amaze me with your ability. You have such a bright future,” those are not just nice compliments.

When you speak the blessing, you’re releasing God’s wisdom, protection, favor and abundance into their future. You can literally help shape their destiny. One word of encouragement, one word of approval can be what helps them to really step up to who God created them to be.

Today, choose to speak the blessing.

Sow good seeds into the lives of the people you love. Remember, what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you.

As you sow the blessing, you’ll reap the blessing and experience His victory and favor all the days of your life!

Dear Jesus, thank You for empowering me with Your love, grace and favor today.
Show me ways that I can be a blessing and speak the blessing over the people I encounter today.
Use me for Your glory in everything I do.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

They Don’t Believe…Now What…

Chrisitan Perspectives Comments Off on They Don’t Believe…Now What…

Romans 3:3, (KJV)

“What if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?”

So often, people allow the opinions of others to hold them back and water down their dreams.

We have to realize, there will always be critics and naysayers in life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass. Other people don’t set the limits for your life — you do. It’s not what others say about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself.

In today’s verse, the apostle Paul is saying, “It doesn’t matter if other people don’t believe. Their unbelief is not going to keep me from believing in my dreams.” When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s not up to other people to bring it to pass, it’s up to you! You don’t need everyone to validate you.

You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.

Today, know that God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams reality.

As you get rid of the old, defeated thoughts and replace them with what God says about you, you will remove the limits so you can live the abundant life God has in store for you!

Heavenly Father, thank You for another day to see Your goodness in my life.
Help me to see myself the way You see me.
Help me to see the plans You have for me so that I can be empowered by You to fulfill my destiny.
I love You and bless Your name today.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen

Think On These Things…

Chrisitan Perspectives 1 Comment »

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

God wants you to be blessed in every area of your life.

The Bible says that Jesus came so that you and I could have life more abundantly, but it all starts in your thinking. That’s why the scripture tells us very clearly what we should be thinking about — things that are noble, right, lovely, pure and praiseworthy.

In other words, when a thought comes to your mind that you’re never going to be successful, replace it by saying, “Father, You said in Proverbs that if I would put You first, You would crown my efforts with success. You said in the Psalms that You surround me with favor like a shield.

You said in Deuteronomy that Your blessings would chase me down and overtake me!” That’s how you take every thought captive, one thought at a time!

Today, refuse to allow any negative thoughts to take up space in your mind. Stay on the offensive and choose to think on the right things.

Fill your heart and mind with the Word of God and open the door for His hand of blessing in every area of your life!

Father God, thank You for Your truth which sets me free.
I choose to meditate on Your goodness and think on the right things.
Direct my heart and mind toward what is pure and lovely.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
